Welcome to BSNA
Bendigo Strathdale Netball Association Inc. (BSNA) is one of the largest junior netball competitions in Central Victoria. We are proud to provide the opportunity for kids to play netball, and in doing so, we develop pathways not only for athletes, but umpires and coaches alike.

Strathdale Netball Association was formed in 1969 by Mrs Pat Slee, who commenced the association with six senior netball teams on the outdoor courts at what was then the Bendigo Girls High School (now Bendigo South East College).
In the 1970's the Association grew with the addition of several clubs, including Strathfieldsaye Netball Club, Flora Hill Primary School, Falcons Netball Club and Kennington Primary School. The introduction of these clubs saw a growth in junior netball for the Association. Around this time the Association moved to Strathdale Park - with an outdoor netball complex on Reservoir Road. Since this time the growth of the association has been fostered by hard work and a commitment to further develop netball in Bendigo.
The vision of the association to fulfil its mission has seen a further relocation in 2001 to the Flora Hill Indoor Sports Centre. The Flora Hill Indoor Sports Centre, which was developed as a joint initiative between the Department of Education, Department of Sport and Recreation and the City of Greater Bendigo. Strathdale Netball Association was integrally involved in the development of this complex.
In 2006, Strathdale Netball Association revised its name to Bendigo Strathdale Netball Association to reflect its identity in Bendigo.
Like a lot of things, 2020 saw the cancellation of our season due to the impacts of COVID-19. It was an exciting chance to re-launch in 2021, where we hosted our competition over three venues including Golden City Netball Association, Harry Trott Oval and at one of our original homes, at Strathdale Park.

In 2023, we moved to consolidate our venues whilst we continue to advocate for a permanent home for the association. During 2023 we will host our 18&U Open competition on Friday nights at the Golden City Netball Courts and our 13&U and Primary School competitions on Saturdays on the indoor courts at Red Energy Arena.
BSNA is planning for the future, with the hope of securing a permanent home that will set us up for future growth beyond 2024.
